The role of the Advancement Department is to go beyond tuition and seek further community support in order to accomplish the goals and objectives of The Awty International School.

There are four basic types of gifts the Advancement Department focuses on:

Annual Fund: The Annual Fund is the first and most important gift we ask of every alumnus, parent, grandparent, faculty, staff and friend of Awty. Gifts of any size are welcomed.

School-Based (Fundraising) Activities: Parent volunteers are important to Awty and there are many ways to become involved in specific endeavors that promote distinct activities within the school. After making your Annual Fund gift, we encourage each parent to find one or more projects that resonate with you and your child's personal interests. In doing so, you not only provide a positive role model to your child; you also become a vital partner to help the school achieve your goals. There are specific policies relating to school-based fundraising activities, as below.

Special Events: Special Events provide a spirited way for our community to come together and support the school. A successful special event requires lots of volunteer help, and is a key component in developing our volunteer leadership and community support. Special events require long-term advance planning and require close interaction with the Advancement Department. See our policies below.

Major Gifts and Capital Campaign: Such gifts are the ultimate way to have a personal impact at Awty, and they can have advantageous tax consequences to those individuals who have the means to make a difference and create a legacy in international education. The Advancement Department can work with you and your tax advisor on bequests, charitable trusts, donor directed funds, and other tax deferred vehicles as well as to construct exceptional ways your gift or pledge can have significant and long-term impact in our community.
