WELCOME Welcome to the first issue of the electronic version of ACCENT. We have revamped ACCENT from an annual printed publication to a quarterly e-magazine in an effort to reach out to Awty’s constituents as well as the broader community and showcase news around campus in a timelier manner. We hope you will enjoy the new format of the magazine and enjoy hearing about all of the great things happening on Awty's campus. FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL FROM THE PROVISEURE ANNUAL REPORT The button below will take you to Awty's 2014-2015 Annual Report. Inside the report, you will find comprehensive donor lists for donations made to the school between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2015. SPOTLIGHT ON... THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND As you all know, The Awty Annual Fund is for all of us, and for it to succeed, it NEEDS all of us. Here is how you can help: MAKE YOUR PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND! THANK YOU to the 174 families that have already shown their support for The Awty Annual Fund by making their gifts. We appreciate your leadership in giving! This year our dollar goal is $825,000. Currently we are 38% of the way to reaching that goal at $311,061 raised as of November 13. Currently our parent participation is at 16%. Last year 69% of our parents, 84% of our faculty and staff, and 100% of our elected members of the Board of Trustees participated in giving to the fund. It is time to show your support for the school and your children’s education by making your gift today. If you are not prepared to make your gift now, please pledge now and pay later! SUPPORT THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND WEEK! This year we have planned a fabulous Awty Annual Fund week designed to engage parents and students in philanthropy. We need your help to make this week a success! Throughout the week, there will be: Opportunities for parents to inspire and challenge one another to give through our #givingtuesday crowdfunding campaign! Class based and grade level participation incentives for the students! The grade in each division (Preschool, Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School) with the highest level of parent giving by the end of the week will win a special reward! Opportunities for students to give back to Awty through our “We are Philanthropists Wednesday” philanthropy education component. Students will bring in change and small contributions to give back to their school. The grade with the highest percentage of student participation in giving will win a special reward!
Chances for students and our volunteers to show their appreciation to our donors through “Thank a Donor Thursday.” Thank you in advance for your support of The Awty Annual Fund! We are incredibly excited about these initiatives and we hope you will be, too. To learn more about The Awty Annual Fund, please contact Chantel Olufsen, Director of Development, at 713-328-5816.
