| WELCOME  Welcome to the first issue of ACCENT for the 2016-2017 school year. Inside this issue, we put the spotlight on The Awty Annual Fund! The Awty Annual Fund plays a vital role in making Awty Houston’s premier choice in international education. We hope you will consider making a donation today! Also featured in this issue of ACCENT is the 2015-2016 Annual Report. The school extends a BIG thank you to everyone who contributed to a successful 2015-2016 school year, and who continue to support the school each and every year. Finally, we've included news around campus and success stories among the faculty and student body.

SPOTLIGHT ON... THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND As you all know, The Awty Annual Fund is for all of us, and for it to succeed, it NEEDS all of us. Here is how you can help:  MAKE YOUR PERSONAL COMMITMENT TO THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND TODAY!
This year our dollar goal is $800,000. Currently, we are 48% of the way to reaching that goal at $402,685 raised as of November 11. Our parent participation is at 14% - every dollar and every donor counts! Now is the time to show your support for the school and your children’s education by making your gift today: www.awty.org/afgivenow. THANK YOU to the 152 families that have already shown their support for The Awty Annual Fund by making their gifts. We appreciate your leadership in giving! If you are not prepared to make your gift now, please pledge now and pay later! Pledges are not due in full until April 30, 2017. To set up a payment schedule, contact Chantel Olufsen. SUPPORT THE AWTY ANNUAL FUND WEEK (NOVEMBER 14-19)! This year we have planned a fabulous Awty Annual Fund Week designed to engage parents and students in philanthropy. Our goal is to raise $100,000 from November 14 to November19 and we need your help to make it happen! Throughout the week, there will be: Opportunities for parents to inspire and challenge one another to give through our “All in for Awty” crowdfunding campaign!
