ADVANCEMENT NEWS... Online Volunteer Training Now Available If you were not able to attend one of the live-session volunteer trainings, you can now sign-up for the online volunteer training. The online training will allow you to take the course from the convenience of your own home or from one of the dedicated computers on campus. Those who complete the training online can address questions and/or issues with one of the Awty counselors. Internet IDs and passwords will be given by Faye Bouazzouz in the Advancement Department. The advantage of the Internet training—beyond its convenience—is that you will be able to take your time, stop and resume the training, or redo a particular passage. Starting January 1, 2008, all volunteers will need to be registered with the Advancement department. This includes completing the volunteer form, keeping and reading the Abuse Prevention Manual, and completing the required volunteer training. For more information regarding the volunteer program, please contact Faye Bouazzouz at 713-686-4850 ext. 5857 or by email at fbouazzouz@awty.org.
