CORPORATE LEGACY PARTNERS PROGRAM
The Awty International School maintains special relationships with companies that bring employees to Houston from outside the United States. It is often critically important that an expatriate employee find appropriate educational options for his/her children, and as the only school in the region that offers both the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the French Baccalaureate Diploma, Awty is the preferred choice. Companies can become members of Awty’s Corporate Legacy Partners Program through annual contributions of $100,000 or more, depending on the number of applicants they are sponsoring. Legacy Partners determine their annual contributions by January of each school year.
Families sponsored by legacy companies receive special consideration in the application process, as do the children of alumni and siblings of current students. All applicants must complete the application process and be reviewed according to these criteria:
Academic ability, as demonstrated through prior grades and standardized tests.
Behavior, as demonstrated by report cards and confidential teacher recommendations.
- Observations, when able to be scheduled, by The Awty International School teachers in testing or classroom settings.
In shaping and admitting classes of students, Awty Admissions attempts to accommodate the needs of legacies to the fullest extent possible, understanding that in a competitive marketplace we cannot guarantee specific outcomes as to the number and percentage of admissions. Historically, legacies have been accepted at approximately two to three times the overall acceptance rate.
