First, you have to start the application process by completing the On-line Application for Admissions form.  Please review the application requirements according to the grade/program your child will be applying to next school year. Once we have received all requested documents for the application process, completed files will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. Decisions are mailed to parents by the second week of March 2013.

Awty has a very strong foreign language program. However, students who speak only English are welcome to apply. We offer intensive language courses from beginner through native speaker levels, and can accommodate the needs of monolingual students. If applying to the Upper School, please contact our office for more information in the beginner courses we will be offering the upcoming August.

Some public and private schools administer achievement test as a way to evaluate their students internally. Please check with your child’s current school if they do this and send us a copy of the last school year’s achievement test (i.e. Stanford, Iowa, CTP IV, etc.). Read more

Pending availability of spaces, the school will continue taking online application forms. Some grades may already be restricted by space; therefore, we encourage you to call the admissions office prior to submitting a late application. Read more

No, your child’s application can only be reviewed for admission in one of the two dual language programs. Please select either French or Spanish prior submitting your application form. Read more

Due to the high number of applicants to the school each year, we are unable to provide your family with an early decision until the entire application season is complete. Read more

Yes.  There are multiple bus routes in the Houston area.  However, the school may cancel a route if the number of riders hinder the financial viability of the route. Read more

Yes. The Awty Plus program starts right after school and there are a variety of activities to select for 3-year old to 5th grade students. The program runs until 6:00 p.m. Read more
