The Awty International School within a unique environment that challenges and inspires all of its students to fulfill their potential through a solid educational program leading to either the International Baccalaureate or French Baccalauréat diploma. Students in both programs must meet the requirements for an American high school diploma which includes credits in fine arts, computer science and American history.

In a diverse international culture, the school creates well-educated and responsible world citizens who become lifelong learners. Teachers encourage students to be independent thinkers prepared to live in a global society and to continue to perform community service. A dedication to the Learning Profile in all facets of the Awty community contributes to the intellectual growth and academic success of all the students. Extracurricular activities include: newspaper, orchestra, Model UN, Interscholastic Athletics and student government, among others. The International Baccalaureate Programme at Awty School is consistently among the highest performing worldwide with an average success rate of 95% and a mean IB score of 34.

In small class settings the Awty curriculum concentrates on all areas of the IB hexagon. Group One and Two languages are taught by native speakers. Among the available languages offered at various levels are: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Norwegian, Portuguese and Spanish. All students must take two languages and may study a third if desired.

Group Three allows students to select either history or economics. In Group Four students may choose among four sciences: biology, chemistry, physics and environmental science. In Group Five mathematics is offered at three levels. The Group Six elective offers all of the following of which the student may take one subject: art, music, theatre, computer science, chemistry, economics, or a third language: Chinese, French or Spanish. All other requirements for the IB Diploma, Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay and CAS are addressed with the same level of instruction and guidance.
