The Awty International School and its College Counseling Department was honored to host guest speaker Janet Rapelye, Dean of Admissions from Princeton University on Thursday, October 14, 2010.

Ms. Rapelye discussed with the Upper School students how admissions decisions are made at the university level, why it is important for students to focus and apply themselves each year while in high school, and what to consider when looking at colleges.  Towards the end of the session, students were given the opportunity to ask Ms. Rapelye questions regarding college admissions.  Awty parents at all grade levels were invited to hear Ms. Rapelye speak during a second session where they also could ask Ms. Rapelye about the college application process.
