Awty Alumni 

Fellow Awty Alumni,

After spending many years since my high school graduation away from Awty, I came back a year and a half ago to see how I could help contribute to this school that played a huge part in my life and helped shape who I am.  I must admit, at first I was a bit intimidated but the huge growth that has taken over our once modest old blue barn and prefab buildings, but the memories, and encountering some of the teachers that influenced my life and who still walk the halls reminded me of what made Awty a special place.  One element that is constant is that the core of Awty is still the same, the people you met and friends you made as a teenager or younger all have this place in common with you, this was reassuring when you came from somewhere far away and Awty was your first stop in academic life.

Though we are all busy people and have moved on from our high school years to bigger things, I have found that coming back to help grow our small community of alumni to be a very rewarding task.  We hope that all of our fellow awtonians can take the time to remember what made this school special, and in that spirit reach out and get involved again to help our international school reflect the wide diversity it has always represented.

With that in mind I hope to see you soon, whether here in Houston or in other cities where Awty is looking to create a hub for people to meet, mingle, reminisce and get involved.
