Arts Alive!
An integrated arts program for children of all abilities, which incorporates thematic activities from all of the expressive arts: creative drama, creative movement, dance, music and visual arts. Learning has never been so much fun!

Ballet/Tap Class
Ballet is the basic technique of all dance, emphasizing body awareness, posture, grace and coordination. Tap emphasizes fine motor skills and rhythms while exploring the sounds we can make with our feet.

COMPUTER
Little iKids Computer Classes
Nationally recognized program combines technology skills, academic enrichment, dramatic playtime, and more! Children become Computer Detectives on fun learning adventures to imaginative places such as The Great Wireless Reef and Keyboard Castle! Children continue the learning adventure at home with access to online activities that correspond to the current lesson.

Big iKids Computer Classes
Children learn technology skills with exciting theme-based projects becoming artists, authors, pirates, producers, Survivor players, Olympians, and more! Children learn the fundamentals of word processing, multimedia, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, graphics, etc.! Children also explore web design, game maker, and animation!

Cooking
Become an apprentice chef. Learn and follow popular recipes from different countries and taste the fl avorful uniqueness of your own culinary creation! Eat while you learn!

Drama
Put your mind into acting gear. Become the next star in the Awty Plus acting class. Be an actor, design the set, create costumes and perform on stage!

Etiquette
Through patience and practice, children learn the etiquette skills of Western society and the world.

Fencing
Taught by nationally acclaimed fencing masters, students in this activity will discover the fast-paced sport of fencing. Classes will help students develop coordination, balance, agility and problem solving skills.

Flamenco
El “baile” Flamenco is an expressive dance known for its strong but graceful arm movements and rhythmic footwork. Flamenco emphasizes fun and structure all while dancing to a unique Latin beat.

Gymnastics
Classes are geared toward strength building, flexibility and learning body control. The program is structured to achieve progressive skills for any age or skill level.

Karate
Have fun learning basic karate moves — kicks, punches and blocks — based on martial arts principles.

Kid Fit
Kid Fit USA, Houston’s premier sports variety class since 1996, brings a fun and diverse training experience to children. Each week, the practice sessions will break down the sports of baseball, soccer, flag football and basketball into basic drills and skills. Students will practice throwing, catching, dribbling, kicking and athletic evasion and pursuit in each week’s sport lesson. Students will stretch, run and jump their way to a better understanding of sports and health awareness. Classes are designed for ages four and up.

Mad Science
Discover the scientifi c wonders in everyday environments. Create a rocket, gooey ooze, self-made cotton candy and much more! Exciting and educational fun.

Natural Beginnings
We are bringing the zoo to Awty. Each week a representative from the Houston zoo will teach students about animals, sing a song and make a craft. Students might even touch a small animal!

One-On-One Music Programs
Why simply listen to music when you can create music? Enroll in private lessons in strings, piano, clarinet, flute, trumpet, trombone and saxophone. You may select the duration of one session: 30 minutes ($35) or 1 hour ($55). These lessons are pre-paid. Please refer to the general information on start and finish dates, as well as absence/make-up and refund policies. Arrangements are made only through the Awty Plus Office.

ROBOTICS
iKids Robotics (1st – 5th grade)
iKids brings robotics to life with exclusive curriculum that provides interactive fun and hands-on learning utilizing Lego Mindstorms® robots! Children explore the fundamentals of programming and engineering while using mathematics, logic, design, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and more!

iKids Weebotics (Pre-K3 – K)
Children go on a grand adventure with the Weebots and create their very own digital storybook to take home at the end of the session. Children will customize their book by picking music, narrating with their own voice, and more! Children will also experiment with basic Lego® robotics products and build their very own Weebot! This exciting class incorporates technology, math, science, and early literacy skills.

Soccer
Learn the basic skills of soccer in an environment that is conducive to the sport. Learn skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting and fast footwork.

Spanish/French/Arabic
Taught in a classroom environment, these lessons are intended to strengthen written and verbal communication skills used in social settings.
