A Note from the Director
Greetings and welcome to the Awty Plus Program! In order to accommodate everyone at The Awty International School, our uniquely designed programs are set up to benefit both parents and students. Awty Plus activities are developed to meet the physical, creative and academic needs of our students.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Activity Program
A student enrolled in the five-day, three-day or individual-day activity program receives supervision, homework assistance, snacks and participation in their selected activity. Please refer to the activity planner for a complete list of courses offered and their designated sessions and day.
Homework Assistance Program
What distinguishes this from the activity program is that students do not participate in a daily after-school activity. In this program, students attend study hall with other age appropriate children and concentrate on homework. This is not the same as one-on-one tutoring. Students who need more attention should seek private tutoring. This is for students who do not wish to participate in a daily activity. A five-day and three-day program are available.
One-on-One Academic or Music Program
We provide individual instruction for students who are interested in playing a particular musical instrument or who wish to sharpen their academic knowledge through intense, personalized assistance. Professional music instructors and Awty School teachers are contracted to provide such guidance.
Cancellations/Changes
It may be necessary for a class to be changed or cancelled. If the minimum enrollment is not met for each activity before the semester begins, the class will not be offered. Parents will be contacted and will receive a full refund.
Absence and Make-Up Policy
Activity Program: In the event that the instructor is absent and/or a class must be cancelled (rainout, sick, etc.), we will attempt to schedule a make-up lesson. However, due to scheduling conflicts, we cannot guarantee make-up lessons. We will not offer refunds unless there are excessive class cancellations. A refund will not be given unless there are excessive cancelled classes.
Music Lessons: If the instructor is absent, he or she must schedule a make-up lesson that is convenient for the student. The instructor is not obligated to make up a lesson when the student is absent — it is at the full discretion and decision of the instructor. Furthermore, a refund will not be given for any missed lessons. Students who miss a lesson should contact both the instructor and the Director of Awty Plus as soon as they are aware that they will be absent.
Refund Policy
A student who withdraws from the program before attending the selected activity will receive a full refund, less a $75.00 administrative fee. All refunds must be requested in writing to the Director of Awty Plus. No refunds will be given after the first day of class. This pertains to all pre-paid programs. This policy is strictly enforced.
Payment
All charges are billed to the student’s account, and the standard school payment terms apply.
Additional Fees
Some activities require additional fees (equipment, uniforms, supplies, etc.).
Drop-In Service
On occasion, parents are not able to pick up their children immediately after school, due to work, an emergency or being out of town. A child who does not typically attend the after school program is considered a drop-in. Drop-ins do not participate in after-school activities, but they receive supervision, homework assistance and a snack. Please call beforehand so that the Awty Plus Director knows to expect your child. There is a $25.00 fee for each child per day. This fee applies to any duration of time a child spends in Awty Plus.
Operating Hours
Operating hours for Awty Plus are from dismissal of school until 6:00 p.m. We are open for fall, winter and spring breaks from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Please note that the program is closed during Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays, as well as on Pre-School and Lower School parent/teacher conference days.
Late Pick-Up Policy
For each child who is picked up late, there will be a $1.00 per minute fee charged to the student’s account. This policy is strictly enforced.

Awty Plus Holiday Care
Awty Plus provides unique and fun-filled activities for our students during fall, winter and spring breaks. Remember, it is not necessary for students to be enrolled in any Awty Plus programs to participate in these events. We offer action-packed activities that are exciting and challenging for all ages. Pre- and post-care is available for an additional fee. Make your reservations early!
