Strategic Plan 2025

The Awty International School is currently undergoing a strategic planning process.

Strategic planning is an important practice that independent schools undergo every few years. It helps us clarify our shared aspirations as a community and define the steps we need to take to achieve them. Every member of our community plays an important role as we develop a shared understanding of where we are and a clear path for where we want to go.

Our Strategic Planning Task Force, made up of Awty trustees, faculty and staff members, will lead the effort in collecting community input and feedback, analyzing data, and identifying key themes and pathways to craft our strategic plan.

Please visit the Strategic Plan blog for the project timeline and frequent updates about the process.

Our Purpose

To create an environment where students experience excellence every day, so that they are empowered to make their mark on the world alongside their community, in a spirit of curiosity, courage, and kindness.

Our Vision

A world where every student has the opportunity to grow as an independent thinker, within a rich mix of languages and cultures, with the skills, qualities, and values they need to make a positive impact in our ever-changing world.

Our Values

Curiosity is our superpower. We want students to ask more questions than the teacher, to seek knowledge and truth wherever it might be found, in school and beyond the walls of our campus.

We encourage everyone to try new adventures, step forward without being asked, and seize the chance to make great things happen. It takes courage to think independently and not just ask "why?" but often to ask "why not?"

When we’re kind to others, it doesn’t just change us, it changes the world. And when we put ourselves in someone else’s shoes, we can see the world differently, too.

At Awty, we have students from over 50 different countries speaking over 40 different languages. But far from keeping us apart, our differences bring us closer
