Ann taught English for the first part of her career and has been a college and guidance counselor for the past 19 years. She has also been a college application second reader at Yale and Brown, and a TOEFL evaluator for ETS. Ann has visited colleges and universities in the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Asia. She worked at Awty from 2009 to 2011 and then went to Singapore American School. Ann is delighted to be able to rejoin the Awty community with her husband, Michael, a middle school social studies teacher, and her two teenage daughters. Her professional interests are adolescent development and the college application and admission process. She believes that the right “fit” happens when students and families are thoroughly educated about the process in order to make the best possible choice.
