Welcome to Awty Athletics!
At The Awty International School, we believe that the pursuit of competitive excellence and success is an important component to our mission as a school, and an integral part of a complete educational experience.
Athletic competition promotes the development of leadership, self-confidence, sportsmanship, and commitment to a team, and is in alignment with the mission of our school to maximize the potential in all of our students. Our student-athletes are coached to work hard towards collective goals, to strengthen their individual skills, and to persevere when confronted by challenges.
Here at Awty, we choose to “compete big” when it comes to athletics. Our commitment to sports is evident in our diverse offerings, competitive conference alignment, and level of competitive success. We realize the opportunity for our students to participate in athletics is a great privilege, so we remain committed to continued support while encouraging our students. We are fortunate to have a teaching faculty that teams with athletic leadership to promote the physical, intellectual, and social importance of athletics.
All students have access to our top-notch facilities including Awty Field, where our state-of-the-art soccer pitch, Olympic sized all-weather track, and four tennis courts are located. Our Performing Arts and Athletic Center (PAAC) houses our basketball and volleyball programs. Both Awty Field and the PAAC house their own weight room and sports medicine facility. Our staff of close to 50 dedicated coaches, certified athletic trainer, as well as strength and conditioning coach all work in unison to produce a competitive and welcoming environment.
Awty is proud of the sportsmanship displayed by its players, coaches, and supporters. We encourage our student-athletes to embrace challenge, overcome obstacles, and most importantly, to compete with enthusiasm. Our student-athletes are expected to play with determination, compete fairly, and represent themselves, their teams, and their school with class and pride.
I look forward to seeing you on the sidelines and in the stands supporting our student-athletes. Thank you for your continued support of the Awty Rams.
