The Lower School Student Council is comprised of 14 students elected by their peers in the fall semester of each new school year, with two representatives from each of the 4th grade/CM1 and 5th grade/CM2 homerooms. The student council represents the entire Lower School student body and acts as a liaison between the student body and the Lower School administration and staff. Its main purpose is to give the students a voice in Lower School life, provide students with leadership opportunities, and provide opportunities for work centered around philanthropy and charity. A key expectation for the Student Council representatives is that they will model the character and behavior we expect of our Lower School students, and serve as an example to their peers and to the younger students. The council meets weekly to discuss homeroom and Lower School specific concerns, and to work on various projects and presentations.
Elections are held in the Fall.
