Société Honoraire de Français
Each year, students are nominated to become members of the Société Honoraire de Français (SHF). Founded in 1983 under the patronage of the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF), the SHF recognizes students in grades 10 to 12 who have achieved academic excellence— especially in the study of French—and demonstrate exemplary character.
Students invited to join the Société Honoraire de Français have distinguished themselves through their positive attitudes and their interest for the French language and Francophone cultures. They also pledge to continue their effort toward academic excellence and to exemplify the moral qualities of generosity, good citizenship, and leadership, as well as provide service to the French community. At the beginning of the school year, the members elect students to lead the group.
The group's faculty sponsors are Ms. Lena Villavicencio and Ms. Morgane Fournier. Please direct any questions or requests for further information to them.
