As the 2019-2020 school year comes to a close, we say goodbye to the following faculty and staff members. We will miss them, and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Erica Aguirre
Primary School Art Teacher & Language Assistant
5 Years of Service
She will be the lead art teacher at KIPP Mosaic Academy and will create a diverse inclusive art curriculum for K-6th grade. She is excited and grateful to begin working with their diverse staff, administration, and community.
Crystal Frommert
Secondary Math Teacher and Instructional Coach + Chair of Employee Welfare Task Force
9 Years of Service
After 19 years of teaching math and technology in public, parochial, and international schools, she has accepted a position as a middle school instructional coach at River Oaks Baptist School. She has a passion for middle grades education and also a strong interest in working with teachers to provide the best education possible for their students. Moving forward, she will continue to be an Awty parent and volunteer. Because of relationships with her colleagues, students, and parents at Awty, she feels she has grown both as an educator and as a person.
Brent Lamers
Upper School History Teacher
9 Years of Service
He will be teaching 9th and 12th grade history at The John Cooper School in The Woodlands next year.
Connie Masera
Primary School Teacher (2 years in Kinder and 8 years in 2nd grade)
10 Years of Service
She will be returning to faith-based education, where she started her career. She is very sad to leave Awty, but feels strongly she is being called to teach religion and return to Catholic education. She will be teaching 1st grade at St. Laurence in Sugar Land, Texas.
