Every single day, I have the joy and the privilege to lead The Awty International School, the school that Mrs. Kathleen “Kay” Awty envisioned over 60 years ago. She dreamed big and made her dream a reality! Today, Awty is the largest independent day school in Houston and the largest international day school in the country.

With students representing more than 60 nationalities and speaking more than 60 languages, the students and faculty reflect the diversity of not only Houston, but also of the world in which they will live, work, and lead.

Just as Mrs. Awty transformed education in Houston, we are taking the next steps to transform the very heart of our main campus and propel Awty AHEAD of the curve in education.

As Awty continues to evolve and prepare for the future, the school’s next chapter is taking shape. We know we must be visionary and bold. Today, we are preparing our students for a future that is constantly evolving... for jobs that do not currently exist and are beyond our wildest imagination. While the future is always uncertain, one thing is definite… we know our students need the cutting-edge 21st century skills colleges and employers are seeking that will allow them to adapt and transform in this ever-changing landscape.

We are educating some of the best and brightest students in the world. We have a highly educated teaching faculty that has a well-established track record of leading students to achieve incredible heights. Now is the time to build facilities that match the caliber an Awty education demands for our current students and for generations to come.
