Awty Gala

The Awty Gala is an annual fundraising event specifically designed to allow parents and corporate sponsors another avenue to contribute financially to The Awty International School.

The Awty Gala is a vibrant, annual black tie celebration of the Awty Community, bringing together parents, corporate sponsors, faculty, and friends of the school.  The Gala is one of Awty's most important annual fundraising events, providing significant support for financial aid, professional development, and the general operating budget, all of which enriches the experience for Awty students, faculty, and staff.

Join us for a fantastic event:

• Save the date! It's sure to be a unique experience. 
• Table sponsorships start at $6,000 and includes dinner for ten people, plus the sponsors receive an invitation to the VIP party prior to the gala.
• Stay tuned for more information about couples sponsorships and individual tickets.

Underwrite a portion of the event:
You can donate money to Awty through a straight donation and underwrite a portion of the Awty Gala. Underwriting opportunities start at $1,500. All underwriters also receive an invitation to the VIP party prior to the gala. 

Donate an auction item:
Each year, we host an online auction and a live auction as part of our annual Awty Gala efforts. Popular online auction items include restaurant gift cards, certificates for beauty services, kids birthday party items, popular summer toys, and anything related to travel.  Our online auction consists almost entirely of vacation homes and travel destinations donated by families and friends of Awty.  If you have an item or a property that you would like to donate, please contact Lauren Linn, Director of Development.

Volunteer:
The Gala Committee has a number of outlets for involvement including helping us thank our donors through stewardship, asking for auction items, coordinating the online auction, or enlisting and organizing our Sociables. Sociable - so·cia·ble - n - a fun event in which Awty families get together and enjoy a great night of fun, food, or entertainment. Hosted by Awty families with expertise in various foods, wines and/or a special interest; these events are not to be missed. Awty Sociables are highly prized and are in attendance. You can attend a sociable only if you sign up for them in the online auction or at the Awty Gala. Sociables do come with a warning - they are very addictive.

Okay, so now you know! These sociables are a great way to meet other Awty families that share similar interest in food, sports, wine, and cooking. You will be surprised at the caliber of cooks, chefs, wine enthusiasts, hosts and hostesses we have in our midst. We hope you will join in the fun and try to make it to some of our Sociables this year.

FAQ

How can I sign up for a sociable?
They will be available in the online auction, prior to the Awty Gala. Those that have not sold out will be available at the Awty Gala.

Will I be able to sign up with friends?
All Awty families are eligible to attend sociables. You and friends are welcome to sign up for the same ones.

This will be our first time going to a sociable, which one is the best?
Go with your stomach ... oops, I mean your heart. Definitely choose a sociable based on what you love to eat and do. There are some sociables that are "brought back by popular demand." That should be a big hint as to their success and then there are others hosted by people you know are experts in the events they are hosting.
